2023 STORIES OF STOKE: MEET VICKI, ONE OF OUR NEW HANAI CO-LEADS!

Meet Vicki Redding, one of our 4 new Hanai Co-leads for the 2023 season!

My name is Vicki Redding, I spent over 30 years in the Action Sports Industry and retired 1 1/2 years ago from Vans where I held the position of VP Global Product, Apparel/Accessories. A close friend told me about Urban Surf 4 Kids and hearing all the great work they were doing to help youth in foster care and at -risk communities I knew it was an organization I wanted to get involved with. I was fortunate to join the board 1 year ago and I am so thankful to be working with an amazing team of people.

Giving back and community service have always been an important part of my life, with a passion focused on helping disadvantaged children. I believe regardless of circumstances all kids deserve a chance to grow and flourish. Over the 7- month program, I am hoping we can offer new adventures for the kids, to help them build self -confidence, trust and foster lasting relationships.

I love the outdoors especially hiking, skiing and playing Pickleball! Being outdoors has helped me connect with nature, lead a healthier lifestyle and find peace in stressful situations.

Introducing outdoor recreational activities to kids can lead to a love of the land and ocean, improving their physical well-being, and mental health. I believe US4K work has helped many kids find a better well-rounded, happier life.
