2024 PARTICIPANT SIGN-UP FOR SURF WITH THE BLIND & VISUALLY IMPAIRED

California’s blind and visually impaired community will once again hit the waves with Encinitas Lions Club and Urban Surf 4 Kids. This year’s surf camp will be at Cardiff Seaside State Beach. 65 surf spots are available. Attendees who are not previously registered on this page will unfortunately be turned away from the event due to permit restrictions.

Use the registration form below to sign up to surf at the event. If on a waitlist, individuals will be notified if a surf spot opens up.

Event will be Sunday, September 8, 2024, 8AM-4PM at Cardiff Seaside State Beach.

**Non-surfers please use the second form.

Due to limited resources, surfing spots are 30 minute sessions per person and are reserved for blind or visually impaired persons only. No family members or friends may surf in lieu of a surfer. 65 surf spots are available for individuals who are affected by blindness or visual impairments. With limited spots available, participants who register for this event must surf at the 30-minute time interval they are given at check-in. Participants must be over the age of 7.

Please sign up each blind or visually impaired attendee individually. This is our sign up form for members of the visually impaired community to attend as a non-surfer at our event. Guests of non-surfers do not have register to attend.

Please be advised that there are no drop-in surf slots available at this event. Non-surfers will not under any circumstances be allowed to go in the water.
