On May 21, 2023, Urban Surf 4 Kids will be hosting a memorial paddle-out in memory of Shaughn Helliar, General Manager of Duke’s La Jolla. The tribute for Shaughn at La Jolla Shores Park will bring together the Duke’s team,US4K Ohana, friends, and family with a memorial paddle-out at 7:30AM.
Urban Surf 4 Kids’ surf camp in honor of Mental Health Awareness Month will commence afterwards. Please register at this private link if you are planning to join us at the paddle-out memorial and/or volunteering afterwards so we can get an accurate number count of attendees.
If you are only attending for the paddle-out, please sign up under the “Shaughn Helliar Memorial Paddleout Attendee” section. We have 30 surfboards that will be available first come first served. Please indicate if you’d like to borrow a surfboard and/or wetsuit in the sign-up below.
If you are planning to volunteer afterwards, please sign up under “Shaughn Helliar Memorial Paddleout Attendee + Surf Camp Volunteer” and select your shift.
