Urban Surf 4 Kids is proud to announce the launch of the Caregiver’s Cove! This program is designed specifically for caregivers so that you can be the first to hear about new updates and upcoming events. We understand that 2020 has been a rough year for most of us, and that our mission to help foster and at-risk youth is needed more than ever before. Therefore, to further the concept of Ohana, the Hawaiian word for “chosen family,” we wanted to enhance a sense of community and belonging for our families. Caregiver’s Cove was created as a communication tool for caregivers so it is easier and more convenient to be active in our US4K community. Our monthly e-blasts will announce upcoming events, newly created programs, group mentorship opportunities, create opportunities to share your testimony, and more!

If US4K’s community has taught us one thing, it’s that everyone has a story. If you would like to share your story, send us your testimony along with a picture of you and/or your kiddo!

HANAI MENTORSHIP OPPORTUNITY

Positive role models are extremely important to youth as good character qualities need to be experienced, instead of taught. Our Hanai program provides an unique opportunity for youth to develop relationships with volunteers on a more personal and consistent basis. Our volunteers are screened and trained to ensure your child has a safe, understanding, and consistent group of positive role models. Our monthly outings typically involve outdoor-based activities and will often implement principles of giving back to the community. This program is in high demand as there are only 40 seats available. If you are interested in registering your child to participate in our 2021 Hanai Mentoring Program, please contact info@us4k.org with your child’s name, age, gender, and why you would like them to be part of this program. Those selected will be contacted in early 2021.
