San Diego Encinitas Lions Surf Camp for Blind and Visually Impaired – September 11, 2022

September 11, 2022 @ 8:00 am - 4:00 pm

2022 Surf with the Blind Cancelled

Out of an abundance of caution, as the safety of our participants, volunteers and team are of utmost priority, we will be cancelling the Annual Surf with The Blind and Visually Impaired Surf Therapy Camp together with the Encinitas Lion’s Club, that was scheduled to take place this Sunday, September 11th.
Due to the General Rain Advisory issued today, September 9, 2022, by the San Diego Coastkeeper with data provided by the County of San Diego Department of Environmental Health, all beaches in the San Diego County Region are potentially impacted by high levels of bacteria that may have exceeded health standards. “Avoid water contact in the advisory area”.

San Diego’s Visually impaired community will once again hit the waves, this year at La Jolla Shores.
The Encinitas Lions Club in partnership with Urban Surf 4 Kids will hold their 27th Annual Surfing Clinic for the blind and visually impaired.

**All volunteers for this event are required to attend our Orientation Training via Zoom on September 7, 2022 at 6pm PST.
