Board Member

I’m an adopted kid, born in Cook County Hospital in Chicago.  Grew up in various East Coast
areas, including Chicago, New York, Maine, and New Hampshire. Playing sports and riding
motorcycles kept me active as a kid.

I moved to California and never left.

My wife and I have two boys. One is a Michelin-starred chef, and the other owns a welding
business, building race vehicles.

I’m retired and was looking to give back. I’ve been involved with several charity organizations
and have gotten involved in volunteering. I found Urban Surf 4 Kids and immediately got
involved. A solid organization that gives back directly to the kids and families.

I enjoy the kids, challenging them to look beyond their struggles and watching them grow and
succeed. It’s been a tremendous honor and a personal highlight to represent Urban and the
organization’s efforts.
