Craig JenkinsExecutive Director

Executive Director

I serve as the Executive Director of Urban Surf 4 Kids, where I lead the organization’s mission, overseeing programs, partnerships, and strategic growth to provide life-changing experiences for foster, homeless, kinship, and adoptive youth through surf therapy, mentoring, and life skills—helping them build confidence, connection, and heal from complex trauma.

My passion for this work is deeply personal — I had a mentor growing up who believed in me and opened doors I never thought possible. That experience changed the trajectory of my life and drives my commitment to ensuring the youth we serve have access to the same kind of support, opportunity, and belonging.

For over a decade, I’ve served Urban Surf 4 Kids in roles ranging from Lead Surf Instructor to Board President, and now Executive Director, helping grow programs, strengthen operations, and expand our impact in the community. Alongside this work, I’ve built a career in law enforcement, working night shifts so I can continue dedicating my time and energy to serving Urban Surf 4 Kids.

I believe in the power of mentorship, community, and meaningful experiences to transform lives. Through Urban Surf 4 Kids, we’re not just introducing kids to the ocean — we’re surrounding them with people who care, creating moments of belonging, and helping them see new possibilities for their future.
